Since the Idaho SBDC's establishment in 1986, it has been the mission of our staff to deliver up-to-date consulting, training, technical assistance and environmental regulatory assistance in all aspects of small business management, with a primary goal of helping small business owners and potential business owners make sound decisions for the successful operation of their business.
Each year, Idaho SBDC consultants meet with clients just like you to provide guidance in developing and growing a successful business. Statistics show that on average, our clients achieve greater than 10 times the sales and employment growth of the typical Idaho small business.
With six office locations throughout the state, each affiliated with one of Idaho's colleges or universities, the Idaho SBDC is uniquely positioned to serve as a focal point for linking together our partners from higher education, the private business community, and federal, state and local government.
Who We Serve
Idaho SBDC assistance is available to anyone interested in starting or expanding a private small business in Idaho. While the definition of a small business varies depending on industry, 98% of all firms in the state of Idaho qualify as small businesses and therefore, are eligible for this program.

Our Mission
The mission of the Idaho SBDC is to provide direct consulting and training services to improve the success of individual small businesses in Idaho through a sustained and increasingly effective higher education network.
